30 Hour Famine

Hey guys. I wanted to let you know that our student ministry at Philippi is doing World Vision’s 30 Hour Famine on March 28th-29th.

If you are not familiar with this project, we will go 30 hours without food to get a taste of what starving children experience all over the world every day. But this is about more than simply walking a mile in their shoes; we are getting people to sponsor us for our famine.

In each of the last three years we were able to raise over $1,000 (twice we raised over $1,500), and we are hoping for even more this year. All of the money goes straight to feeding children, and since World Vision is a Christian organization, they also share the gospel of Jesus with them.

Will you please consider helping us with your prayers? Or maybe you would like to help us by sending some of your money to help feed these children who are starving both for food and a Savior.

If you would like to give you can visit www.wix.com/tommymannministries/30hourfaminedonations and make a secure donation through PayPal. And if you are old school and still don’t trust online transactions, you can always mail a donation to 327 Philippi Church Rd., Union, SC. 29379.

Thank you for your support!

I remember doing this in Jr. High. A friend and I were just remembering this the other day. I thought for sure we would all die after eating the rice boiled in dirt water and drinking dirt water.

This made a huge impact on my love of people I hope that it does for your kids too.

you can count on my prayers

Thank you for your prayers Karen! I know the famine has always been a great experience for me, except for the being hungry part.
