Darwinian evolution has had a great impact on our society, and I am not just referring to the classroom. When Darwin first crafted his theory of evolution, which his writings show was his attempt to get rid of God and hell, he opened the door to a world that puts no value on life. If mankind is nothing more than some animal, then what is the big deal if one man kills another? Isn’t that what animals do? And does not mankind kill “lower” animals all the time, for both food and sport? Was Darwin trying to push humanity down this slippery slope that devalues human life? I doubt it. Charles Darwin seems like he was a nice guy, but the tragic death of his daughter, the evolutionary influence of his grandfather, and the thought of his father in hell sent him down his own path. But some of his followers eagerly picked up where Darwin left off. Is Darwin responsible for what his followers do? The age of the earth is believed by most Christians to be approximately 6,000 years old; there are some who date the earth a little older, at an even 10,000 years. These dates come as a result of the biblical genealogies, which I also believe is supported by science. Darwinism, on the other hand, requires the earth to be much older than 6,000-10,000 years. Because the theory of evolution is mathematically impossible, its supporters need time to make it even remotely plausible. Therefore, Darwinists have manipulated science for over a century to conclude that the earth is billions of years old. When one considers things like the continental drift, erosion of the Grand Canyon and Niagara Falls, the amount of space dust on the moon, and the shrinking sun, there is no room for billions of years. In Tom DeRosa’s informative little book he takes evolution head on. He shows how the fossil record continually disproves Darwin’s theories, and how evolutionists are so desperate for proof that they continually make fraudulent findings. But I want to concentrate on just two parts from his book: cells and DNA. Cells, as we know, are microscopic. Thanks to advances in our equipment we are now better able to study cells under microscopes, whereas Darwin and his early cohorts were not able to. Darwin theorized that cells evolved early, and that over time they built upon themselves to eventually give us the human race. One-celled organisms had to have been the first living things to evolve.
