President Donald Trump's nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court has caused the national conversation to turn once again to  Roe v. Wade. Supporters of abortion are nervous that this right might be taken away, while those of us who rightly believe that abortion kills an unborn child would love to see this slaughter brought to a halt. In my book which was released last Friday ( Asleep in Heaven’s Nursery, 2 nd Edition ) I included a new chapter that deals with why the Judicial and Legislative Branches need to act. I analyze the majority opinion in Roe, highlighting Justice Blackmun’s conclusion that the Court disagreed with any notion that a woman should be able to have an abortion at any time and for any reason, and how women should have a consultation from a responsible doctor before having an abortion. Yes, Tommy Mann Ministries is closing down. But as I said in the last post, I will continue to write and sell books, just not on a non-profit basis. So I want to let you know about two book signings in December to help launch the release of  Asleep in Heaven's Nursery for Kids. The first is at Coffee Underground in Greenville on December 5th, from 1:00-3:00 PM. They are located at 1 East Coffee Street, 29601. The second is at The Stomping Grounds in Greer on December 19th, from 10:00-noon. They are located at 208 Trade Street, 29651. Both of these events are at coffee shops. I would love to see you out there if you can make it. You can get a gourmet cup of coffee, eat lunch, or get dessert. It is also a great place to get a signed copy of my first children's book. Asleep in Heaven's Nursery for Kids will not be in stores until November 24th, but it is now available for pre-order. You can get it here . Even though it is a pre-order, all sales will ship this week, and shipping is FREE.  Asleep for Kids is a beautifully-illustrated poem as told by a five year old girl who is finding out that her mother is no longer pregnant. She comes to realize her little brother is asleep in heaven's nursery. This book is the perfect tool to use when having to explain child loss to young children.

One of the classic broad misrepresentations used against Christianity is that we hate science. By hating science they mean we reject their pseudo-science called Darwinian evolution.  Although we could easily counter that they hate science for neglecting the scientific method or embracing a belief system in direct opposition to Thermodynamics, a much better response is to point out the most glaring hatred of science espoused by atheists and liberals alike. These champions of science hurriedly change their tune when it comes to the unborn. Ultrasound technology, embryology, neonatology, and DNA studies continue to confirm that life begins inside the womb, most likely at conception.  But liberals are quick to brush this science to the side and remain beholden to their belief system--the same thing they accuse Christians of doing. They love abortion because it is a billion dollar industry, so they repeat their anti-science claims of "Its just a blob of cells."...

A member of the popular website Reddit has posted an open letter to the baby she is scheduled to abort this Friday. The member, whose subscriber name is scaredthrowingaway, feels she is too young to have this baby, but looks forward to the day she can raise children. Over the years I have been able to partner with pro-life organizations to help spread the message that life in the womb is precious, and I have also been able to work in assisting mothers who choose to keep their babies. But one area of concern for me has been ministering to those who chose abortion. Aside from one chapter in Asleep in Heaven’s Nursery, I haven’t done much to help those who are hurting and haunted from a past choice. Last week I had the opportunity to invest in a Christian based post-abortion recovery group so I jumped at the chance. The lady leading the group needed $60 to buy materials, which, because of book sales, I was able to cover. Fewer than 24 hours after I wrote the check, I was handed another check. This check was a $70 donation to the ministry. I was amazed at how quickly God gave a return on the investment! Tommy Mann Ministries was begun in 2009 with the release of my first book All the Law . Writing has always been about ministry to me; it is a way to spread the message of Jesus. I never wanted to make money off of writing, so I found a way to give back everything that comes in. Now, a few years and a few books later, I wanted to give an update on what the ministry has been doing. One of my biggest passions has been fighting for the unborn, but it does no good to convince a woman to keep her baby if we do not help her keep her baby. Because of this, a top priority of this ministry has been supporting crisis pregnancy centers. We routinely supply diapers, wipes, baby food, clothes, monetary donations, and other items to pregnancy centers. Aside from pregnancy centers the next biggest ministry has been behind bars.
